Ships' logs kept by Robert S. Pulsifer. The first records a voyage aboard the ship Restitution, Calcutta to Salem, 17 May-8 Oct. 1812; along with a log for the brig Ellen Douglas, Boston to Calcutta, 11 July 1815-22 Jan. 1816. The second volume records a voyage aboard the Ellen Douglas, commanded by John C. Bancroft, from Calcutta to Boston, 19 Apr.-27 Sep. 1816; along with notes on navigation (1818) and a few miscellaneous financial accounts (1819-1822).
